Experience: A. As an Actor: trained in Nandikar, Sources Research Performing Arts (School after Jerzy Grotowsky); trained by Rudraprasad Sengupta, Heisnam Kanhailal, Usha Ganguly, Probir Guha, Debsankar Haldar, Gautam Haldar, Steve Clorfine et al; played more than 500 times in different kind of theatres; worked on screen for award winning film directors like Buddhadeb Dasgupta, Aniruddha Roychowdhury, Satarupa Sanyal, Indranil Roychowdhury et al; Selected from all over West Bengal for Acting Shakespeare, an international workshop on King Lear, conducted by Tim Supple of RSC fame in 2014. B. As a Theatre Director: 25 long years of working with children and adults in more than 40 plays. Most of the productions have taken part in different national & international festivals of National School of Drama, and the fests around the country as well. Directed actors like Debsankar Haldar, Asit Basu, Sanjeeb Sarkar et al on stage. Invited to direct plays for National School of Drama and Shishu KIshore Akademy (WB); conducted several workshops for children and adults. C. As an Author or Columnist: published several times in Anandabazar Patrika, Desh and different theatre periodicals. Recently composed 101 tiny stories which were posted in Facebook, but are destined to get published [namely, VIRUS] with a foreword by Saumitra Chatterjee. D. As a Playwright: composed more than 30 plays for both children and adults. Most of them are published in theatre magazines or in collection. E. As an Advertising Personnel: more than 13 years in Genesis, Inner Circle & Good Image Advertising. Handled successfully the accounts of Times of India, Sangbad Pratidin, Sreeleathers, Bengal Shelter, Tata Steel, Anandabazar Patrika, Narayana Hriduyalaya, Govt. of West Bengal and so on. F. As Illustrator & Designer: more than 20 years – Posters for Theatres, Book Covers, Pamphlets, Illustrations, Brochures, Calligraphy, Logo Designing etc.
