Kajal Chakraborty is a renowned theatre activist, actor, playwright and director of plays. Under his directorship sandipan, a theatre group, has been performing for three decades. He plays have been published in various prestigious magazines like Bahurupee, SAS, Hinajaan etc. He has three books of plays to his credit. He has acted in numerous films, tele-serials and ad-films. His acting caliber has been highly appreciated in all films and Tele-serials including those directed by buddhadeb Dasgupta, Meera Nair, Ashok Viswanathan, Samir Chanda, Ishwar Chakraborty, Amitava Chakraborty, Swapan Saha, Manas Bose, Anil Prem Srivastava, Joydeep Mukherjee and many others. Tele-serials he acted in under renowned directors have been talecast in channels like Doordarshan, ETV Bangla, Zee Bangla, Star Jalsha, Mahua Bangla and Others.
